Both sides of the case are tongued and grooved to minimize the ingress of moisture, we have added further protection by coating the printed circuit boards with varnish.

A slot is provided for fitting a standard Isotope for nighttime viewing, although with our ULTRA BRIGHT LEDs, which light the bankside up, most Anglers, think this is unnecessary.
SENSITIVITY LEVELS The sensitivity switch is combined with the on/off switch. When the switch is in the middle position the alarm is switched off.
Moving the switch to the up position, switches the alarm ON in the LOW sensitivity mode, this gives approx, 6mm of fishing line movement before the fishing alarm will indicate a bite.
Moving the switch to the down position, switches the alarm ON in the HIGH sensitivity mode, this gives approx, 3mm of fishing line movement before the fishing alarm will indicate a bite.
We recommend that for normal fishing, you use the LOW setting on the fishing alarm,(6mm of fishing line movement). For days when the fish are shy and you need to detect those line twitches, use the HIGH setting on the fishing alarm(3mm of fishing line movement).
EXTENSION SOCKETSon the fishing bite alarm. We have provided two extension sockets which should cover most of your needs.
SOCKET MARKED E Connect via this socket to our Extension Boxes the GF4a or the GF4t, both will provide visual and sound indication of a fishing bite to another location, Bivey etc.
We recommend that you use Model GF4a, as this will provide automatically the exact tone setting of all the GF range of fishing bite alarms.
Our other model the GF4t will allow you to set one tone of your choice regardless of how many GF bite alarms are being used.
You also use this socket E to connect to other manufactures Extension Boxes, but you WILL NOT being able to reproduce the exact tone settings of the GF range of fishing alarms.
If you plug any of our bobbin lights into socket E, each time the GF carp alarms indicate a bite, the light inside the bobbin will flash on.
SOCKET MARKED B This socket allows you to connect accessories that do not have a power source of their own. We can supply a matching bobbin lights which light up each time the GFs fishing alarm indicates a bite.
Any accessory plugged into socket B, will receive power for approx 15-20 seconds each time the GF fishing alarm indicates a bite.
If you have difficulties with alarms waking you up at night, try plugging our extension box (model GF4t only) into socket B, this will give you a continuous sound output for 15-20 seconds each time the GF fishing alarm indicates a bite.
Other accessories from other manufactures may also function in this socket.
